Motorcycle: Ducati ST3

Where: Remshart, Germany to Ireland, the Isle of Man, England, France, the Pyrenees, Switzerland, the Alps

When, how long and how far: May / June / July, approx. 8 weeks but with a week at the TT, a two week sojourn in the Dordogne with Dale, and a few days diving at Port le Close. Approximately 10,000km, also ST3 clocked up the 100,000 total kilometres mark in Liechtenstein near the end of the trip!

Comments: Back in Ireland for the first time since 1972, third Isle of Man TT (the first with the ST3), caught up with John Mills, Nick Trench, and Martin Vieyra in England, Nick Leapman (France) and Rupert and Elizabeth Scheuplein (Switzerland) on the way. Lost the right hand pannier off the ST3 in England. Replaced the old camouflage tent early on in the trip. Dropped the ST3 on a steep gravel road in the Alps (no real damage)

Note: Google maps doesn’t recognise the ferry from Belfast to the IOM, and also only allows a certain number of route modifications, hence the map has some inaccuracies
